Huis en Festival a/d Werf is a production house and festival in a single organisation. The production house - Huis a/d Werf - invites artists to develop performances, carry out research or work in residence. For ten days each year, Festival a/d Werf offers a platform from which these artists can present their work as part of an international programme. From 20 through 29 May 2010, the 25th edition of the festival takes place.

Huis en Festival a/d Werf produces and presents projects which explore the limits of theatre. Every year, between wight and twelve artists work in the studios and auditoriums on a research project or on the actual production of a performance. Artists that were successfully presented over the last years are among others James Beckett, Roos van Geffen, Floris van Delft and Dries Verhoeven.

Development programmes lasting between one of five years can be carried out fully or partially at the production house, under artistic and management supervision. Artists are, where necessary, assisted in setting up their own group or becoming an independent artist.

Every year, Festival a/d Werf organises the International Programmers Event (IPE). If you want to be informed about the IPE 2010 and its possibilities, please send an e-mail to Maaike Glerum. Soon, the IPE provisional programme 2010 wille be posted on this website.

Huis en Festival a/d Werf has acquired a position in the basic infrastructure for Dutch cultural policy, and is structurally funded by Gemeente and Provincie Utrecht.

Tickets and reservations

During the festival (20 through 29 May 2010) you can book your tickets at the box office at 'de Neude'.

You can also buy your tickets online on this website. Choose the performance you want to visit and use the menu button ‘bestel’, then follow the instructions.
